Prince Ruperts Regiment Of Foote
Welcome to the web site of Prince Rupert\'s Blew Regiment of Foote. Ours is one of the oldest regiments in the Sealed Knot Society and comes with a lot of history and tradition, both then and now. We pride ourselves on our appearance, drill and hard but fair fighting and we are always on the look out for new recruits to carry the fight to Parliament.

The following pages contain all that you need to familiarise yourself with the regiment and the society. As well as details on uniforms, arms etc you will also find descriptions of other identities that we portray to fight the Civil War in Scotland and quell the rebellion of 1685 in the West Country.

We are a regiment of The Sealed Knot society. Our objective is to re-enact as accurately as possible, for both educational and entertainment purposes, what life was like for both soldiers and civilians during the period of the British Civil Wars in the mid-17th Century. This was arguably the most significant period of political and social turmoil in British history.

Welcome to the website of Sir Thomas Glemham's, a Royalist regiment of The Sealed Knot Society. The members of the regiment come from all walks of life to re-enact the English Civil War of the mid 17th century. I hope you find the site has a lot to interest you! The Sealed Knot Society is the largest re-enactment group in Europe, with over 5,000 members from across the world, mainly in the United Kingdom. Its aim is to portray an army in the time of the English Civil War, and also how people lived and went about everyday life. The Sealed Knot is a Registered Charity.
